Condolence & Memory Journal

We just found out about Polly's passing- having been out of the country- we've known Polly for over 30 years- and are so saddened to hear this news. We would look forward to her visits down here in Florida- attending horse shows, eating out, and sharing her passion for photography and our Arabians. She never seemed to age. She was an incredible photographer. We will miss her holiday card with all her fur family and the adventures she had over the year. We will miss her.

I always looked forward to your Christmas card filling me in on your adventures. Bless you Polly, you were the best. I can hear your giggle as I write this.

My condolences to Pollys family and close friends. I looked forward to seeing her at the Egyptian Event in Lexington Ky, where we shared our love of these horses. I found her to be a sweet, quiet, unpretentious, hardworking person of great kindness and a very talented photographer. The last time I talked to her there about doing a photoshoot at my farm, I found out her daughter lives in my county, and we made plans for me to meet her and her dogs, and Polly to photograph my horses. Life is what happens when we are making other plans for it, and illness and deaths in my family kept me away from the outside circles of my horse world, and we never got together again, though I thought if her often. I will always appreciate her and the richness of her contribution to our breed recognition. Rest in peace, dear Polly!

Polly was an extreme pleasure to know. I especially knew her for her "visiting artist" Project Aware presentations in the Beaver Dam schools and her association with the Beaver Dam Area Arts Association. Her accomplishments were very inspiring to the students. She was enthusiastic and supportive for all the arts. We will miss her presence here.

A beautiful soul who brought great joy to others through her artistic skills and kind spirit. I enjoyed meeting her on a few occasions and the book she created has enriched the lives of the friends who have received them.

When I lived in Cambria I needed to have some good pictures of the Morgan stallions at the farm. Polly lived so close and took incredible pictures. Perfection was her goal and capturing the personality of her subject she was photographing. That was 1977. I moved to Cannon Falls, Minn and she would take the Amtrak to Red Wing and continued my pictures of my mares and foals as long as she could travel. Developed a very wonderful friendship. She was so sincere and gracious lady. She had an elegance about her and always so down to earth. She will be missed by so many loyal followers. Loved her Christmas cards

I met Polly through her dear friend, Annette Weber. I bought my first Arabian from Annette and Polly came to my farm and photographed her. Polly made photography fun with her mirror, umbrellas and other props. She was a wonderful, caring person who will be deeply missed.
